Well this is our second attempt to keep family and friends up to date as to the going ons in our busy family life. As some of you know, we attempted to maintain a website, but that took too much time to design and keep up to date. We're hoping this will be an easier to accomplish our goals. We'll use this area to share family triumphs, downfalls, news, pictures, and random thoughts. Keep checking back for our updates.
Now to the fun stuff.....
As many of you know Kristy and I went on what we considered our honeymoon....a little bit late, but at least we finally went. It was great to get away from the daily routine yet it was very hard to leave our little ones behind. There wasn't a day or moment that went by that we weren't thinking about them. We had a great time though. We were able to go fishing, snorkeling, and just lay around. We had absolutely no schedule to follow and did as we pleased. We actually went snorkeling for about 6-8 hours one day!
A few highlights
The water was amazing and clear. Unfortunately, the area was still recovering from a tropical storm so the reef was a bit damaged and the fish were just starting to come back. That didn't really matter. Everything was still beautiful and the waters were very calm.
Lobster season started the day after we got down there. So we spent a lot of time looking for them and catching them. I (Chris) actually caught one. But our guide caught many. Kristy was able to have fresh lobster 4 of the 6 days we were there....she was in heaven.
I caught one fish and hooked a barracuda. Our guide believes the barracuda was probably around 20 pounds....but I guess we'll never know because it snapped my line.
And finally, the pictures. We haven't developed the underwater pictures yet, but we'll have those soon.
